[CES 2020] Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Fold, the world's first folding laptop, costs $ 2,500
The ThinkPad X1 Fold, the world's first folding laptop, was just introduced by Lenovo at CES 2020.
Basically, the X1 Fold is a 13.3-inch OLED screen with thick bezels that helps to better protect the inner plastic screen. Machine can fold vertically. The device can be upright due to the diagonal design on the back.
The X1 Fold supports connectivity with a Bluetooth keyboard that allows users to input a normal laptop. The removable keyboard can attach to the bottom half of the screen magnetically, then the X1 Fold will become a regular laptop with a relatively small size.
This Bluetooth keyboard supports wireless charging and can be used for about 1 week on a single charge. X1 Fold also supports stylus so that users can perform writing and drawing easily.
When folded, the X1 Fold is quite compact in size, not unlike a leather-covered notebook.
X1 Fold is equipped with Intel Hybrid processor, 8 GB RAM, 256 GB memory, supports up to 1 TB upgrade. The device supports both 4G and 5G connections.
The biggest drawback of this folding screen laptop is that it does not support discrete graphics, so it limits some graphics related tasks.
Lenovo X1 Fold, the lowest-spec version of 256 GB memory and 8 GB RAM, starts at $ 2,500 and will be launched this year.
